About

Currently, I serve as a Health Sciences Clinical Assistant Professor at the UCSF School of Dentistry, where I oversee evening clinics for third- and fourth-year dental students. In this role, I guide students in comprehensive diagnosis, treatment planning, material selection, and effective patient communication, while ensuring the delivery of high-quality care in a timely manner. When clinical schedules allow, I mentor students more broadly—addressing areas of difficulty, refining both hands-on and didactic skills, and engaging in meaningful discussions about their future in dentistry. These conversations often extend to career pathways, including private practice, specialties, residency programs, and the importance of lifelong learning through continuing education. In addition to my academic role, I am the owner and lead dentist of a thriving private practice, where I manage a team of approximately 30 professionals, including four associate dentists early in their careers and a network of in-house and collaborating specialists. I oversee all aspects of practice operations, with a strong emphasis on mentorship, clinical excellence, and team development. Our practice serves over 5,000 active patients and provides a full spectrum of care—from foundational dentistry to complex full-mouth rehabilitation cases, often in collaboration with interdisciplinary specialists both within and outside the practice. I also lead a local interdisciplinary dental study club, hosting monthly meetings that foster continuous learning through case presentations, collaborative discussions, and guest lectures from leaders across various specialties.
